Grinders and how to grind Making cold brew and pour over Anatomy of espresso and the importance of espresso in coffee culture. Barista Tools and Equipment: Using and maintaining espresso machines. Overview of essential barista tools (tamper, calibrated tamper, WDT, puck screen, brush, different pucks, distributor, knock box, dosing funnel, gravity distributor). Espresso Extraction: Understanding grind size, dosing, and tamping. Techniques for perfecting espresso extraction and measuring it. Adjusting grinding size for different drinks. Pulling the first espresso shot and maintaining crema. Milk Frothing and Steaming: Techniques for frothing and steaming milk. Common mistakes and practices. Using oat, almond milk, half-and-half, and cold foam. Day 2: Signature Coffee Drinks: Creating and combining flavors and syrups with coffee. Making iced lattes and using syrups to create unique drinks. Yemeni Drinks: Preparing Yemeni Adani tea, Yemeni Mofowar tea, and Yemeni cascara drink. Practical Hands-on Session: Preparing lattes and two simple coffee drinks. Daily morning routine for a barista, including cleaning the machine. Tasting and smelling coffee to differentiate flavors. Proper coffee storage techniques. Coffee Samples: Providing coffee samples for tasting and practice.
